Privacy & data
TechWaymark's paid reports and Complete Career Package involve personal information. This section explains what we hold, why, for how long, and how to request removal.
What we collect
- Career Verdict. Your email address, your answers from the guided route, any CV file you upload, and the verdict we generate for you (on-screen and PDF).
- Offer Reality Check. Your email address, the role, salary, location and working pattern you enter, any offer wording you paste, and the written judgement we generate.
- Hiring Reality Report. Your email address, the job spec text you paste, any context you add, and the report we generate.
- CV Evidence Review. Your uploaded CV, contact-redacted extraction, target role, seniority, corrections, email and generated review, including any revised CV you submit for the included recheck.
- Complete Career Package. The inputs needed for each included report, your email and records of which product credits have been claimed or used.
- All paid products. Standard payment metadata returned by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
Why we hold it
To produce the report, deliver it to your inbox, let you re-download it via your access link, and handle refund or dispute questions.
How long we keep it
Your report, your inputs and your access link are kept for 24 months from purchase so you can come back to them. After that they are deleted and the link stops working. You can request deletion at any time. We respond without undue delay and normally within one month, and explain any records we must retain or any permitted extension.
The 24-month period refers to saved paid reports, not original CV documents. Payment records are held longer only where accounting or legal obligations require it.
Your original document is scheduled for deletion 24 hours after it is read. The exact deletion deadline is shown after upload. The saved report is kept 24 months unless you request deletion sooner, and one recheck stays open for 30 days.
Before purchase, CV extraction records have a separate 90-day expiry. You can delete your upload and its extracted information from the confirmation screen before checkout.
Model training
Nothing you submit is used to train models. A language model writes prose around decisions the framework has already made, and the provider is instructed not to retain your inputs for training.
Confidential and third-party information in offer submissions
If you paste the wording of an employment offer, please remove names, contact details and anything your prospective employer treats as confidential. TechWaymark does not need it to judge the offer. You remain responsible for having the right to share whatever you paste.
Third-party information in Hiring Reality Report submissions
Please remove names, email addresses and other personal information relating to third parties (hiring managers, candidates, internal staff) before submitting job specifications or supporting documents. TechWaymark does not need this information to produce a Hiring Reality Report.
Where you choose to submit documents containing third-party personal data, TechWaymark processes that information solely for the purpose of producing the requested report. You remain responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate authority to provide that information.
Who can access it
The sole operator of TechWaymark. Generated PDFs sit in private storage, accessible only via signed access links sent to the purchasing email address.
Recruiter preparation pilot
When enabled, this separate pilot stores the recruiter's account access and sanitised role-preparation briefs. It does not store candidate names, CVs, preparation answers or completion activity in the recruiter workspace. Briefs remain until deleted by the recruiter or through an account/data deletion request; closing an invitation or ending pilot access does not itself delete the brief.
Anyone given an active preparation link can read its role requirements. Links expire after 14 days and can be closed or replaced. Recruiters must remove personal and confidential information before sharing. Closing a link cannot recall copies already downloaded or work already open on a candidate's device.
Candidate preparation answers stay on the current page unless the candidate explicitly downloads a private draft or selected evidence PDF. The private draft includes rehearsal notes; the evidence PDF excludes them. Candidates decide whether and how to share their downloads. A signed-in My Waymark member can choose to copy selected fields from their own saved examples; no recruiter receives access to that personal workspace. This preparation flow does not send the answers to a language model.
Your rights
You can request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing hello@techwaymark.com. You can request deletion at any time. We respond without undue delay and normally within one month, and explain any records we must retain or any permitted extension.
Service providers
Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Lovable Cloud (database and storage), PDFShift (PDF rendering). Each processes data only as needed to deliver the service.

CV Evidence Review purchase terms
£19. One-off payment. A section by section audit with line level annotations, the full requirement matrix, evidence reconstruction prompts, evidence safe rewrites, a prioritised fix list, a PDF and a revision worksheet. One recheck of the revised CV inside 30 days.
What you supply: The CV you want reviewed, the target role and seniority, and your email.
Usually within minutes of payment. Always within 24 hours. A review that fails the evidence checks is held rather than released. Nothing is invented: if the CV does not support a claim, the review says so instead of writing one for you.
Full refund if it does not arrive inside 24 hours, or if the document could not be read well enough to review. Disagreeing with the call is not a refund case. Contact hello@techwaymark.com with purchase questions. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

One written Career Verdict, emailed as a dossier and a PDF, usually within a few minutes and always inside 24 hours. One Offer Reality Check credit, kept as a private single-use claim link emailed to you and spent when an offer actually arrives. No account is created.
What you supply: Your CV, the free guided route and your email. The offer details are only needed later, when you have one.
Usually within minutes of payment. Always within 24 hours. Each part follows the hold rule of the product it comes from. A draft that fails the writing checks is held rather than released as if it passed.

At checkout you tick a box agreeing that production starts at once. By doing so, you acknowledge that you lose the 14-day cancellation right that normally applies to digital purchases under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This is standard practice for digital content produced on demand.
Because Verdicts are personalised, purchases are normally non-refundable once the dossier has been delivered. Full refund if it does not arrive inside 24 hours, if a verdict cannot honestly be written for your situation, or if it was generated from broken inputs you could not correct. Hiring Reality Report purchase terms
The Hiring Reality Report is personalised digital content, £99. It is written against the job spec and context you provide. Within two working days of payment. A report that cannot be supported by the brief is held rather than completed from assumptions.
At checkout you tick a box agreeing that production starts at once. By doing so, you acknowledge that you lose the 14-day cancellation right that normally applies to digital purchases under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This is standard practice for digital content produced on demand.

The Offer Reality Check is personalised digital content, £24. The band read you see before paying is free. The written judgement is generated against the offer details you provide. Usually within minutes of payment. Always within 24 hours.
